Christopher Kelly joined Sands Brothers from Pirate Capital LLC, a $1.8 billion hedge fund, where he served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. Prior thereto he served as Managing Director, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Cypress Associates LLC, a New York-based investment banking boutique. Chris joined Cypress from Proskauer Rose LLP, an international law firm based in New York, where he served as a (non-equity) Partner. Chris began his career in New York with the law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. Over his career Chris has handled over $10 billion of m&a transactions and securities offerings.
Chris earned a B.A. with High Honors from the University of Virginia and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
