Hugh J. Marasa has 18 years of investment experience in areas that include investment banking, venture capital, private equity, real estate, sales/brokerage, and merchant banking.
Hugh began his professional career in 1983 in media with Harrington, Reighter & Parsons L.P. where he served as a national spot TV representative. He started his career in brokerage/investment banking in 1991 at Sands Brothers & Co., Ltd. as one of the original partners and held the position of Senior Managing Director. Hugh later joined Laidlaw & Company, Ltd. as a Senior Managing Director where he ran their West Coast office in San Francisco, CA. He worked closely with investors as he focused on raising capital for small to mid-sized private and public companies as well as managing stock and bond portfolios.
At Sands Brothers he serves as Director of Marketing, focusing on investor relations and marketing for its various hedge funds.
Hugh graduated from the University of New Hampshire where he received a bachelors degree in Liberal Arts with a concentration in communications. He resides in Greenwich, CT with his wife and two sons. He continues to be active in youth lacrosse programs as a coach.
