K. Daniel (Dan) Libby brings with him over 20 years experience in the Investment Management and Capital Markets arena. Dan has held various senior positions in investment management, risk management and securities research at several “best-of-class” institutions. After graduate school, Dan began his career at Goldman Sachs in securities research. Subsequently, he was Product Manager for Structured Products on the trading desk at Nomura Securities International. In addition, he was Investment Manager at the IBM Retirement Fund for a $4+ billion portfolio where he consistently achieved a top decile ranking against his peer group over a five year period. More recently, Dan was a Director at BlackRock, Inc. in the Risk Management area responsible for providing services to many of their largest external clients.
Dan received both his BS in Applied Mathematics with a concentration in Economics and an MS in Applied Mathematics with a concentration in Finance from Columbia University. Dan has held positions on the Industry Advisory Board for Columbia’s Financial Engineering Department and is past President of his Alumni Association. Dan is also a CFA Charterholder.
